Many Chiropractors in the province reopened their practices this week.
Chief Executive Officer of the New Brunswick Chiropractors Association Francis Leblanc says patients will notice changes for the upcoming appointments, “You may be asked to wait in the car before your appointment or to come just on time. Wait rooms may also be reconfigured to allow for physical distancing when possible and also have additional signage to help with patients flow.”
Patients will also have to complete a questionnaire, before they are seen.
“They will be asked questions before they come to make sure they are asymptomatic. They will also be asked to clean their hands. Chiropractors will also look different, wearing masks, gloves and even goggles in some cases,” Leblanc says.
Leblanc says the Association made sure that Chiropractors have been provided with the necessary PPE for their equipment and staff.
They will also be working with the clinics to ensure they have taken all the steps necessary to maintain the safety of their clients.
Leblanc says, “We encourage our members to explain to their patients, including children, why they are wearing masks. They are really being worn to be able to prevent infection and protect their health. These are being worn as a more preventative measure.”
