Main street will be closed off to traffic tomorrow, between Botsford and Lutz streets.
The city of Moncton says work will be underway from 7am to 8pm to create a temporary one-way street.
Barriers will be installed to prevent vehicles from driving into the new bi-directional bicycle lane.
Westbound traffic will resume once the work is complete and the new traffic pattern will remain in effect until the fall.
The city is also asking any delivery vehicles over 40 feet long to use side streets, since the change will make wide turns more difficult.
Additionally, Codiac Transpo bus 51-Green will be diverting to Queen street during the closure and signs will indicate new stops.
