A sigh of relief from many residents in Prince Edward Island.
The Chief Medical Officer of Health had no new cases of COVID-19 to report this morning.
This comes after five cases over the weekend.
Dr. Heather Morrison says all are still active cases, and the individuals are self isolating.
A record number of 850 tests were performed in PEI over the weekend.
Dr. Morrison is now strongly recommending the use of non medical masks or face coverings in places where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
That includes, grocery and retail stores, hotels, restaurants and medical facilities.
As for the Atlantic bubble, between July 3rd and 5th, over 5700 vehicles crossed the Confederation Bridge onto the Island.
