August 15th is National Acadian day and Dieppe has found a few ways to celebrate despite the pandemic.
Annie Belliveau helped organize the vitrual concert being streamed on Facebook, live from the arts and culture centre.
The show puts the spotlight on Acadian artists Caroline Savoie and Menoncle Jason.
“I’m pretty sure we’ll still feel the Acadian vibes this year even though we can’t all get together for a big party,” Belliveau says.
Belliveau says a playlist of Acadian artists has also been created to keep the party going after the show.
She adds that despite not being able to organize a tintamarre, residents are encouraged to make some noise from their yards as the church bells ring at 5:55.
