Following a water conservation advisory issued earlier this week, the City of Moncton has decided to close all splash pads until further notice.
The only exception is the Centennial Park Splash Pad, where the water is recycled.
The East End and Centennial Park pools will remain open, as the water is recycled in those facilities as well.
The decision regarding splash pads is an effort to conserve water as a way to reduce the risk of blue green algae blooms in the drinking water reservoir.
City crews continue to monitor the situation and urge residents to do their part to conserve water.
