The arrival of winter yesterday brought with it some snow.
That is making the commute slick for motorists this morning.
Snow is heavy and wet, roads are slushy and there are ice patches underneath.
We’ve had several reports already this morning of accidents, including one on Amirault at Allain-Gilette in Dieppe, that caused traffic tie-ups to Chartersville Boulevard.
Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Paul Bruens says they responded to several incidents, including a tractor trailer that went into the ditch off of Highway 2.
He adds there was another multi-car accident on Mountain Road near Evergreen. One person was taken to hospital with injuries.
Slow down and give yourself lots of extra time time.
Up to ten centimetres of snow is expected to fall by the time it wraps up early this afternoon.
