Due to heavier traffic flows with the closure of the Causeway, Ambulance NB has expanded its services by adding another ambulance in the region.
The two-person crew will operate seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. to limit potential impacts to response times during peak hours.
The extra services will be provided on the Riverview side of the Petitcodiac River.
Ambulance NB says it will monitor their responses throughout the closure, and reassess the situation if the new bridge is delayed.
The current expectation is a new connection from Moncton to Riverview will be finished by October.
