Almost 6500 elementary, middle and high school students in New Brunswick took part in municipal Student Votes mock elections.
Results from their elections differed from the actual results in Moncton and Riverview.
Students from nine schools in Anglophone East and Francophone South registered for the program.
Real Allain and Patrick Richard were the favourites for Ward one in Moncton.
In Ward three, student choices were Diani Blanco. Bryan Butler and Dave Steeves tied.
Dawn Arnold was elected Mayor with 75.2 per cent of the vote, defeating Erik Gingles , who received 24.8 per cent
If student votes counted, Riverview Town Council may have looked a whole lot different as well.
Students at three schools cast ballots in their respective wards.
For Ward one, top votes went to Richard Blackstock.
Kevin Steen received the most votes for Ward 2, Lynda Carey for Ward 3 and Joseph Gangoo in Ward 4.
CIVIX organizes the student Vote mock election program in an effort to encourage an awareness of the election process, as well as exploring issues and candidates.
