Residential and commercial pre-leasing has been launched for Tannery Place North, the new mixed-use building on the western edge of downtown Moncton near Main Street and Vaughan Harvey Boulevard, which is part of the so-called Junction Urban Village.
Construction is now underway on the six-storey tower which will have 42 luxury apartments with either one, two or three bedrooms along with 12,000 feet of retail or commercial space on the main floor and underground parking.
The adjacent tower, Tannery Place South, opened in January and is now full according to the developer, Tannery Place Holdings Inc.
“Tannery Place South has been incredibly well received and we are pleased to say the residential units are 100% leased,” noted Vaughn MacLellan from Westmount Developments Inc.
“Plus, we are making significant progress on our retail space notwithstanding the challenges presented by the pandemic. Initial demand for Tannery Place North is very strong and we are excited to get it started. We think the Junction Urban Village will have a broader impact in helping to revitalize the downtown area,” says
In addition to the twin towers, the Good Life fitness centre is also part of the redeveloped area.
This project is a partnership of Westmount Developments Inc., Lounsbury Company Limited and DuParc Real Estate Group.
The new tower is scheduled to open in the fall of 2022.
