Codiac RCMP asked for the public to avoid the Leblanc Road area in Dieppe earlier today.
A large number of police officers were reported in that area for around two hours, due to an active incident.
Sergeant Christopher Mackenzie-Plante says there was no immediate threat to the public, but they did ask residents to remain in their homes.
More details are expected in an RCMP news release this afternoon.
