Donations from a recent campaign will help the Moncton Hospital acquire modernized equipment and create a new rooftop sunroom.
The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation’s Annual Campaign reached the $800,000 mark after just eight months.
A new four-season sunroom and garden space will be created from an outdoor area. Space will provide patients peace, quiet and time to reflect outside of their rooms.
In addition, the funds will purchase a new Endobronchial Ultrasound System, also known as an EBUS, to diagnose and stage lung cancer.
The hospital purchased an EBUS over ten years; however, that particular technology has surpassed its lifespan.
