Tropical Storm Elsa continues to make its way towards the Maritimes.
It’s expected to travel across our region as a post -tropical storm late tomorrow or early Saturday.
The Canadian Hurricane Centre has issued a Tropical Cyclone Information Statement for New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
The current track shows the system will have a greater impact over Southern New Brunswick with significant rainfall.
Parts of New Brunswick could get between 50 and 100 milimetres of rain, while Nova Scotia could feel wind gusts up to 70 kilometres per hour.
An update on the path of the system is expected to be updated later this morning.
