Four new mini golf courses, bumper boats and an arcade style shooting gallery has officially opened at Magic Mountain.
The expansion was announced in 2019, but construction was delayed due to COVID-19.
The new features opened to patrons earlier this month.
Yesterday, Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe MP Ginette Petitpas-Taylor announced an investment of a $500,000 repayable loan through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, “Magic Mountain is a huge draw for tourists and local residents, creating unforgettable summer memories and generating economic benefits to our region. I am pleased that the Government of Canada provided support to help make this project come to life.”
Owner and General Manager John Jelley says, “This expansion is a real catalyst for our future growth here at Magic Mountain. The addition of the Blaster Boats to our FunZone ride package significantly helps to provide a more complete offering for older children and adults. The entire Prospector’s Peak complex, with four 9-hole miniature golf courses, gemstone mining and the themed arcade, adds several options to increase length of stay. By continuing to invest in new attractions, we maintain our position as a family fun destination and a key tourism draw to Moncton and New Brunswick as a whole.”
Magic Mountain employs more than 200 people during the summer season.
