Quebec-based Alimentation Couche-Tard has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the network of Esso, Wilsons Gas Stops and Go! convenience stores in Atlantic Canada.
The Wilsons Network consists of 79 corporate-owned convenience stores and fuel locations and 147 dealer locations.
Couche-Tard will also receive the marine fuel terminal located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The price of the transaction remains unknown, but the deal is expected to be closed in the first half of 2022.
Couche-Tard said the transaction will be funded through the corporation’s available cash and credit facilities.
