The City of Moncton has appointed a new General Manager of Operations.
Alexandre Binette will assume his new responsibilities on August 30th.
He is a Mechanical Engineer with over 18 years of experience managing various aspects and facilities in the mining industry.
In his new role, he will lead one of the city’s largest service areas including Public Works, water and wastewater and Parks and Facilities departments.
“I am pleased to be appointing a new addition to our leadership team and organization,” said City Manager Marc Landry. “Alexandre will lead one of our largest service areas which includes our Public Works, Water and Wastewater, Parks and Facilities departments. He brings extensive experience, skills and knowledge to manage the more than 200 operations employees and to ensure that we continue to deliver high quality services to our residents.”
The City says applications were received from across Canada and the City says Binette was chosen for his unique skills and ability to lead.
