Residents in the Tri-communities will have the opportunity to view Remembrance day ceremonies virtually this year.
The Town of Riverview has planned a private ceremony in Caseley Park for invited guests only, but it will be livestreamed on the Riverview Fire and Rescue’s YouTube channel at 11am.
It will be hosted by the the Town and the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association.
Retired Colonel Bill Hanson says, “While we can’t all be together this Remembrance Day on November 11th, we can wear a poppy to honour those who sacrificed for our freedoms.”
Wreaths and crosses will be placed at the cenotaph prior to the ceremony.
Dieppe will also be holding a private ceremony on November 11th, and it will be livestreamed on the city’s Facebook page.
Moncton will hold a private ceremony at the Moncton Coliseum, but only invited dignitaries, special guests and organizers will be permitted to attend the ceremony in person.
Residents can view the ceremonies on Rogers TV, channel 10 on RogersTV.com or on social media through a link that will be shared by the City of Moncton.
