New Brunswickers looking to pick up one last item from the grocery store on Christmas Day or get a head start on shopping for Boxing Day are likely out of luck.
As statutory holidays, most stores and businesses are closed on Dec. 25 and Dec. 26.
That includes grocery stores, department stores, malls and big-box stores, but some drug stores will keep their lights on.
NB Liquor and Cannabis NB stores are also closed and will reopen on Dec. 27. Banks, post offices, and all government offices are also closed.
In Saint John, the City Market and all city arenas are closed, along with McAllister Place.
In Dieppe, CF Champlain will be closed.
The same is the case for Codiac Transpo and Saint John Transit.
If you are still unsure whether a certain store is open, your best bet is to call ahead.
