Porter Airlines is adding flights from the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport to Billy Bishop Airport on Toronto Island this spring.
Porter will be introducing daily year-round non-stop flights on May 5th and is also offering the service from the Fredericton International Airport on the same date.
This will mean passengers can better connect to Porter flights serving U.S. cities such as Chicago, Boston and New York or Ontario cities such and Thunder Bay, Sudbury, Windsor, Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins.
“So whether one wishes to see the Blue Jays in Toronto, the White Sox in Chicago, or the Sleeping Giant in Thunder Bay, it is very easy to get there for both business and leisure travellers,” noted Bernard LeBlanc, president and CEO, Greater Moncton International Airport Authority.
This new service is in addition to existing flights that stop in Montreal or Ottawa and don’t require passengers to change aircraft.
Meantime, Porter will begin non-stop service from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport to Billy Bishop Airport on April 7th, featuring up to three daily roundtrips in the summer.
“These three established Porter markets in Atlantic Canada will see significant service improvements with new year-round, non-stop routes and many opportunities for convenient connecting flights,” said Michael Deluce, president and CEO, Porter Airlines.
