The City of Moncton will once again become a lively hub for novice and diehard car enthusiasts.
The Atlantic Nationals Automotive Extravaganza returns for another year starting on Wednesday.
Show Chairperson Bill Doherty said the event tries to emphasize a good clean, family-oriented fun event.
These events include the Bernie Melanson Scale Model Show at the Rotary Lodge Day Camp in Centennial Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Platinum-selling Saskatchewan rock band, The Northern Pikes, will take the stage as the headlining act for the Friday night street party.
“We are eagerly anticipating the Friday night street party,” said Doherty “We are honoured to celebrate The Northern Pikes’ 40th anniversary alongside them, enhancing the excitement surrounding the event.”
On Thursday, the Riverview Lions Club and the town will co-host a breakfast at 701 Coverdale Road from 8 to 9:30 a.m. for all registered participants.
Doherty said the event can attract upwards of 2,400 cars and tens of thousands of spectators, with Sunday featuring a presentation of two shows in one at Centennial Park.
“Our classic show, which is cars older than 1986, and we have our modern muscle show, which are cars newer than 1987,” Doherty continued.
