Mounties are searching for two suspects after a home invasion in Lutes Mountain on New Year’s Day.
RCMP officers responded to the incident on Briggs Cross Road at around 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 1.
Two armed men broke into the home and restrained a man and a woman who were inside at the time.
They fled with a safe, cash, jewellery and other valuable items, RCMP said in a news release on Friday.
“One of the victims sustained what were believed to be minor injuries,” the release said.
The first suspect is described as being about 25 to 35 years old, six-feet tall, with blonde hair. He spoke with a French accent and was armed with a long gun.
The second suspect was described as being about 25 to 35 years old, six-feet tall, with dark-coloured eyebrows. He spoke with a French accent and was armed with a crowbar.
Police said both suspects were wearing black clothing and masks at the time of the incident.
