A local festival is helping Moncton residents to warm up during cold temperatures.
The Chocolat Festival runs in Moncton, Riverview, Dieppe and Shediac until March 2.
“Fifteen participating businesses, including restaurants, bistros, chocolatiers, and cafes are taking part this year,” says Spokesperson Amber Richards.
The goal was to have a festival that is inclusive and welcoming for everyone.
This festival also supports Inclusion Advocacy SENB. Fifty cents from every cup sold will go to them..
Aaron Neilson, who owns Aaron’s Coffee House says it also supports local businesses when it is especially needed.
“This is our fifth year in business, and one of the things we’ve noticed is, every year in January, February and March are the slowest times of the year. That’s why supporting local is super important right now because we’re all struggling in one way or another. The money you spend in your community stays in your community.”
