The Moncton Wildcats are just days away from beginning their latest playoff run.
The Wildcats finished the season atop the league standings with 108 points, well ahead of second-place Rimouski.
Moncton won 53 of its 64 regular-season games and is coming off a 15-game winning streak to wrap up the regular season.
The Wildcats will face the Québec Remparts in the first round of the playoffs.
Games one and two will take place at the Avenir Centre on Friday and Saturday night.
Play switches to Québec for games three, four and, if needed, game five.
Games six and seven, if necessary, will be back in Moncton on April 7 and 8.
Also in the playoffs from New Brunswick is the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, who finished the regular season in 11th place with 69 points.
This will be the team’s final season before they move to St. John’s for next season and become the Newfoundland Regiment.
The Saint John Sea Dogs did not secure a playoff spot this season — the first time in six years they have not played in the post-season.
