A new 60-bed nursing home for Moncton.
Garraway Hall welcomes its first residents on Tuesday.
The home in which Shannex operates is connected to two existing nursing homes, Gordon Hall and Ocean Hall. It includes amenities such as a café, a town hall with administration offices, a hair salon and a multi-purpose room.
“Providing our seniors with quality care, close to home, is not just a priority; it’s a responsibility,” said Lyne Chantal Boudreau, the minister responsible for seniors. “We are deeply grateful for our partners whose commitment makes it possible for our seniors to receive the care they need and deserve.”
The provincial government is adding 180 nursing home beds to help address needs in the long-term care system, and it is currently analyzing future needs for long-term care.
