A special event I got to stop by this weekend was the NB Songwriters Showcase!
This showcase was run by the Songwriters Association of New Brunswick to shine light on our local songwriters and connect them to our local artist!
I was able to speak with the event organizer and talk a little bit about what the event was all about.
This is their first year having the NB Songwriters Showcase at the Holy Whale Beer Hall and garden and they were thrilled by the turn out. They had registrations put up and all the spots filled in less than a day!
With 28 performers and 100 songs this event ran from 12pm to 8pm.
They had numbers of local artist preforming and also observing.
It was an opportunity for music to be recognized as an art.
