A kickoff to summer.
Riverview will hold its 22nd annual Sunfest starting on Friday, June 27.
Communications Manager Ashly Barron says it gets everyone in the mood for this fun-filled season.
“We have everything from a town-wide yard sale to an art show along the riverfront, free open swims, the summer reading club launch party, 3×3 basketball, it is just packed with summer fun for everyone.”
Canada Day is a big hit in Riverview, with lots of events to be held at Caseley Park.
“We have face painting and inflatables and barbecue and live music, and it’s always a great time,” Barron adds.
This year, there will also be a movie night, and 25 local businesses will offer sunny specials.
The country celebration will wrap up with the Tri-Communities fireworks display over the Petitcodiac River.
Sunfest is open to anyone, and Barron encourages residents from outside Riverview to attend as well.
“Don’t hesitate to cross the bridge. We would love to see you in Riverview taking part,” she adds.
Residents are also encouraged to shop local, as 25 businesses offer sunny specials.
Sunfest will all wrap up with festivities on Canada Day in Caseley Park with fireworks for the tri-communities to end out the day.
