Two people have been arrested, and a third is wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Moncton business.
Police responded to a robbery report when two men entered a business on Botsford Street on August 27.
One of the men pointed a firearm at a teller before both fled on foot with stolen items, according to the RCMP.
Investigators said they later identified the two men and the driver of a nearby getaway vehicle.
Officers arrested a 46‑year‑old woman and a 36‑year‑old man, both from P.E.I., during a traffic stop in Berry Mills on September 18.
Mounties said the woman was charged with robbery (party to the offence). She was released on certain conditions after a bail hearing and is scheduled to return to Court on October 24.
Police said the man was charged with robbery, assault with a weapon, possession of a firearm for the purpose of committing an offence and resisting a peace officer. He remains in custody and is also scheduled to return to court on October 24 for a bail hearing.
Police have identified the third suspect as 29‑year‑old Cody MacLeod of Kensington, P.E.I.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and he is considered armed and dangerous. Police are telling the public not to approach him and to contact them immediately.
