New Brunswick RCMP arrested two individuals and seized money, drugs and weapons as a result of a drug investigation.
Police executed a search warrant on February 25th at two homes in Shediac one on Port Royal Court and another on Bellevue Heights.
Officers arrested a 46-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, both from Shediac, at the Port Royal residence. Both individuals were released and are expected to appear in court on July 2 ,2021.
The drugs that were seized include what is believed to be cocaine, prescription pills and cannabis. A large quantity of money, prohibited weapons and drug-trafficking paraphernalia were also found.
Specific amounts for the items seized were not released by the RCMP.
The investigation was led by the Southeast District Crime Reduction Unit with help from the Shediac RCMP and Police Dog Services.
Anyone with information about, or who suspects, illegal drug activity in their neighbourhood is asked to contact their local police.
