Two additional overnight closures at the Sackville Memorial Hospital emergency department have been announced by the regional health authority.
Horizon Health Network says the move is necessary due to a shortage of physicians.
The emergency department will be closed from 4 p.m. Thursday until 8 a.m. Friday and from 4 p.m. Monday until 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Anyone needing medical attention must seek treatment elsewhere and ambulances will be diverted.
In June, Horizon cited a shortage of nurses for the closure of the ER during overnights on the weekends for the summer.
The weekend hours for the Sackville ER are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
