A vehicle break-in in Shediac is under investigation.
It’s believed it happened between 10 p.m. on May 9 and 8 a.m. on May 10 at a home on rue Châtellerault.
Someone broke into a home by breaking a window with a brick.
There was damage caused to the inside of the home, and a blue plaid coat was taken before the individual fled from the residence.
No one was home at the time.
On May 10 at approximately 8:30 a.m., a man, who was wearing the same blue plaid jacket that had been stolen from the residence, stole a vehicle from a business on Main Street in Shediac. The vehicle is described as a red Toyota Corolla with a New Brunswick licence plate JHB 961.
Surveillance footage photos of the man have now been released by the RCMP in hopes that someone may recognize him.
The man is described as having a medium build with a bald head and a gray and white beard. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a white t-shirt with a faded blue plaid jacket over it, blue shorts, and black sneakers.
