Last week I got the opportunity to be at the Moncton Airport for Airport Workers Day!
The second Airport Workers Day was on June 25th!
They were celebrating not only our airport workers here in Moncton but the airport workers all around Canada.
They held a private BBQ for all the airport workers to show appreciation for what they do for us every day.
A few things that airport workers do for us are:
- Canadians need access to air transportation for our economy to function. Air transportation requires hundreds of airport worker touch point for each and every aircraft that comes through the airport.
- They provide safety and security to all. Not only do goods come through air transportation but also humans travel through air transportation every day! From checking in bags to ensuring everyone is safe and seated in an aircraft our airport workers are required to have continuous training to ensure safety for all that are coming in and going out.
Those are only a few of the day-to-day tasks that our airport workers do for us and I am so grateful I was able to be a small part of their day of appreciation.
