Maplehurst Middle School reopened on Wednesday, a day after an early dismissal.
Students were sent home at 10 am on Tuesday after a water main break.
Classes resumed first thing this morning, but the school is currently under a boil water advisory.
“This is standard procedure after a water main issue impacting a school. Facilities provide the school with enough bottled water to cover their needs while the tap water is being tested,” Spokesperson for the Anglophone East School District Stephanie Patterson told our newsroom in an email.
“Once the tests have been cleared, the school can use their tap water as usual.”
Patterson added that students are encouraged to bring water every day, and bottled water is provided as needed.
A notice was also sent out via email to parents from Superintendent Randolph MacLEAN.
Parents and students will be notified once the advisory is lifted.
