MONCTON, N.B. – A former Moncton bank employee who stole more than $73,000 from his employer is going to jail.
27-year-old Terry Ing was sentenced to nine months behind bars in Moncton provincial court yesterday.
Ing was a financial services rep for TD Canada Trust in Moncton and Dieppe.
For two years beginning in 2010, he withdrew money from clients’ lines of credit, then opened other lines of credit in their names without their knowledge or authorization.
Ing has since paid the money back and told court he stole the cash because he wanted to gain his father’s approval and show him he was successful.
