Food Depot Alimentaire has officially kicked off its “30 Days of Community Caring Campaign” in Metro Moncton.
The food bank has partnered with other groups and organizations to raise food and funds for needy families this Christmas.
President Dale Hicks says even with so many other fundraising campaigns and initiatives in Metro Moncton, the community always manages to come together.
Hicks says the need is growing as the city grows and a lot of young families struggle at this time of year.
This year’s goal is to fill 1,750 Christmas food boxes which are about $75 each but Hicks adds they will take any food or monetary donation until the campaign wraps up on December 20.
Monetary donations can be made at Metro Moncton credit unions or visit www.fooddepot.ca or visit their warehouse in the Caledonia Industrial Park.
