Today is Black Friday.
It’s known as the unofficial start of the shopping season leading up to Christmas.
A new survey indicates close to 90 percent of Canadians will purchase gifts in-store rather than online.
Kristen Nelson of www.retailmenot.com says some people are still a bit hesitant to shop on-line, “Even though there is more awareness, you can save a lot of money if you start your holiday shopping earlier in November around these days, only 29 per cent of Canadians are planning to shop online during Cyber Monday.”
Nelson says on-line companies need to better educate their customers on the benefits of shopping on the net.
