Work is already underway for the official takeover of the former Target location in Moncton.
We learned months ago that Canadian Tire would be relocating to the new location on Mountain Road.
Owner Mike Mercier says they now have a better idea of when they hope to open up their new store.
“We’re gonna start merchandising January and February, and hope to be open sometime in March, maybe a Grand Opening in April,” says Mercier.
Mercier says they will be launching a job fair in the coming months.
They will need to hire around 80 people for the store set up, and with a bigger location, more employees will also be needed once they finally open their doors.
There’s no word yet on what will move into the old location at the corner of Mountain and Mapleton Roads.
