The City of Moncton is giving people many options of how to get to and from the downtown core, with the launch of MyBestOption.ca in June.
Communications Director Isabelle LeBlanc says it’s all about options, and they can’t dictate to everyone how they should attend events at the Downtown Events Centre.
“It depends on your individual circumstance, do you want to walk, do you have mobility issues, do you have small children & a stroller, do you bike?” says Isabelle. “So each person is going to approach it a bit differently.”
She says now, they’re focusing on being able to put those options in the website, either through a click selection or a drop down menu, they haven’t decided yet.
LeBlanc says then “people will be able to select their circumstance, and it will push out the best option, or options, for you.”
She adds they developed over one hundred options depending on individual circumstances, and the website will be available for the public on June 20th.
LeBlanc hopes that from the launch day “to the opening day that people will be able to test out their option, or options, so that come opening day [of the facility] they will have figured out what their best solution is.”
She adds they are still deciding on whether or note to make it a mobile app.
