Starting next month, it’s going to cost you more to buy milk in the province of New Brunswick.
The price of white milk will rise by five cents per litre on September 1st.
The increase was announced by the New Brunswick Farm Products Commission earlier today.
They say a price adjustment was needed to support the increase in feed and transportation costs for dairy farmers….as well as the fuel, transportation and labour costs for dairy processors.
Pricing under the School Milk Program is not affected.
The last milk price increase was in February, when a litre of white milk increased by almost one per cent.
