The provincial election campaign is underway with the writ being dropped as they say at 12:01 AM Thursday.
Chief Electoral Officer Kim Poffenroth says even though some parties may not have a full slate of candidates right now, there is still time for nominations.
“The deadline for nominations for candidates is 2 PM on September 4th, even though people have been putting up campaign signs and that sort of thing, no one can officially submit their nomination papers until the returning offices have opened”, says Poffenroth.
