A Nova Scotia RCMP officer has been killed in an accident on Highway 2 near Memramcook.
A preliminary investigation by the RCMP has determined that the officer had stopped to help two people in an SUV change a tire last night.
Moments later, a utility van collided with the police car and the SUV.
The 35 year old officer died at the scene.
Two people in the SUV were taken to hospital..
The driver of the van was also treated at hospital and then taken into custody..
The road was closed for several hours while emergency crews investigated.
