RCMP Constable Francis Deschenes will be laid to rest tomorrow, and a full regimental funeral will be held.
The City of Moncton is closing streets for the procession leading to mass at St. Bernard’s catholic church at 2pm
A procession of uniformed law enforcement and military personnel will march eastward along Assomption Boulevard., turn left on Downing Street, and cross Main St. onto Botsford Street toward the Church.
The public is encouraged to gather along the parade route to show their support for Constable Deschênes’ family and can view the service at St John’s United Church at 75 Alma St. The public is asked to be seated at this venue by 1:45 p.m. The RCMP thanks the public for their patience and cooperation in regards to these arrangements.

The eastbound lanes of Assomption Boulevard will be closed from Euston to Downing Streets between 10 and 2.
Botsford from Queen to Victoria Streets will be closed from 10 until 4.
Drivers should expect to be delays on area streets.
Traffic along the following streets will experience some delays during the procession:

” Queen Street, from Botsford Street to Church Street
” Alma Street, from Queen Street to Victoria Street
” Church Street, from Queen Street to Victoria Street
