The lights along the riverfront in Riverview have been a big attraction for the town this Christmas.
Mayor Ann Seamans says they were able to decorate even more trees this year.thanks to funding from Canada 150.
“With that we were able to put the electrical in place, which is very expensive too, and then put the money we had aside into the lights themselves,” says Seamans.
She goes on to say she’s hearing a lot of comments from citizens reporting they are enjoying the lights.
Seamans says the lights are making them feel happy, and festive, and part of the community, and ultimately, she adds, that’s what it’s all about.
Their goal is to eventually decorate the trees all the way to the new bridge, once it is completed.
