The Moncton Heritage Board is giving you the chance to visit a number if historic buildings throughout the city.
After a 4 year hiatus, the “Doors Open” event is back!
Sophie Auffrey, heritage development officer at Resurgo Place says this years event focuses on showcasing re-purposed heritage buildings.
“Like the St James Gate, that’s a fantastic example of what you can do with a heritage property instead of the worst case scenario of tearing something down,” she says.
Other featured buildings include the former Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home and the Old Moncton Hospital.
“The Stantec building on Main street is a great example of international architecture. It still has the old vault from when it was first built, because it was a bank originally. They have neat features to show as well,” she says.
The free event is being help next Saturday from 10 to 4, you can find out more here.
