A Moncton area man says in this unusual time, during COVID-19, we can’t gather in groups, we can’t shake hands, or even hug, but we can dance.
Sebastien Aube has planned a Social Distancing Neighbourhood Dance Party, for Friday, March 27th, between 6 and 7pm. It will be in everyone’s neighbourhood, not all in one place.
He is encouraging everyone to tune to 91.9 The Bend, while in your neighbourhood, in your car, or your home, turn up the music and dance.
“In your driveway or close to your home, make sure you are following social distancing protocol because it is the Law now. If you are supposed to be in quarantine, you should not go out.”
Aube says he got the idea after seeing a Halifax woman holding her own dance party on her balcony.
He thought, why not do it on a larger scale in New Brunswick.
“I’d like to see 1000 or even 2000 people do this and maybe even see it grow for the next time,” Aube says.
Don’t forget, proper social distancing is the key.
