The snow outside your window in Greater Moncton may last to see Christmas Day, but it might not be there for long.
Most of the province is currently under a special weather statement with the potential for up to 60 millimetres of rain, and the possibility of snow as well.
Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick were not originally included, but as of 10:42am Thursday morning, we are now under the same advisory.
Light rain is expected to begin tomorrow, and intensify on Saturday before moving east of the province late in the day.
It could switchover to snow for most areas late on Saturday and overnight into Sunday.
The forecast in Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick is also calling for temperatures that are nearing a record for Greater Moncton.
The current predicted high for Christmas Day is 13 degrees Followed by 12 degrees on Boxing Day.
