A gas leak at an apartment building on High Street is under investigation.
Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Paul Bruens says they were called to the vacant building at around 9pm Tuesday night.
Bruens says the building had filled with gas. It was also present on the outside as well.
Streets were cordoned off as a precaution and neighbouring residents were asked to stay inside.
Codiac Transpo buses were also on scene, in the case an evacuation was needed.
Bruens says the leak is under investigation by RCMP and Fire Prevention, because it appears as though the gas meter was damaged.
Firefighters battled a blaze at the same building on February 12th.
